Meet Tito. Tito is an incredible young man. He is 21-years-old and the oldest son of our Maker Neidy. Tito has lived his entire life in the slums of San Pedro Sula Honduras. He attended school with a private non profit school run by an American church in Arkansas. He did amazing at school and even learned to speak pretty decent English (which was not a class at school but something he picked up listening to the teachers from the states.)
Once Tito graduated high school at 20-years-old he showed a desire to attend university classes at the University of Honduras, which is in walking distance to his home. So now Tito has been taking university classes and also has a job in construction. We have even witnessed Tito helping his mother sew when he is home.
This passed year with funds Neidy has earned working with One Common Thread she has been able to improve her living conditions and build a private room for Tito. It is a huge improvement and right now we would like to contribute to his bright future by providing him a bed.
A bed is about $200 and so we know with ten donations of $20 we will be able to get him a bed in no time!!
Any donations made over this amount will go to buying a bed for another Maker.
Beds are a luxury item and make such a difference to the self esteem of our Makers and their children.
