🎓 Help Our Makers’ Children Celebrate Their Graduation 🎓
One of the biggest challenges our Makers face isn’t just paying for monthly schooling costs — it’s the unexpected graduation fees that come at the end of the school year. In Honduras, students must pay a one-time fee of $50 (or more) to graduate from 8th grade or high school. Sadly, if that fee isn’t paid, they’re not allowed to walk at graduation or receive their certificate of completion, no matter how hard they’ve worked.
Most of our Makers can manage the regular school fees with their employment with One Common Thread, but when November arrives and graduation season begins, these extra costs can feel impossible. Many of our Makers only completed up to 6th grade, so having a child graduate beyond that level is a moment of immense pride — a milestone that represents hope, opportunity, and a better future. 💛
We want to make sure that every child who has worked hard to complete their studies gets to stand tall in their cap and gown and celebrate their incredible achievement. Your donation will help cover these graduation fees and allow these students to move forward with confidence.
👉 Every $15 goes towards a student graduating and receive their certificate of completion.
Together, we can lift this burden and celebrate the next generation of dreamers, doers, and difference-makers. 🌿
