Handmade quilt by women in San Pedro Sula, Honduras
Many quilters and makers here in the US have asked for more unfinished quilt tops to finish off themselves and so we have more available now!
This small quilt top was made by Velkis with the help of her daughter Ashanti. Velkis is a mother of 3 and just had a sweet little baby this past July. She stays busy trying to take care of her children by sewing. Her husband tries to get work but often ends up helping her sew because work is so hard to find.
This quilt top is made using our grandma's garden design in bright colors and is a small quilt design.
Materials: high-quality thread, cotton fabrics for quilt top
Dimensions: 28" x 34"
The last photo is of the back of the quilt top.
