We have many Makers who are in need of refrigerators but currently Damaris is our greatest need. Having an opportunity to store food saves her time walking to the market and the ability to have food stored properly for eating at a later time. It gives them the opportunity to gain more independence from having to live hand to mouth.
Damaris is a single mother of one daughter. Damaris takes English classes and has already acquired a high school certificate and would like to start taking college classes soon!
We anticipate the fridge to cost $400 so we are splitting this up into $20 payments and hope to be able to provide all of our Maker's with fridges one day. Any donations made over the $450, will go to buying a fridge for other Makers.
