Handmade quilt by women in San Pedro Sula, Honduras
Description
Our sweet Nohemy made this quilt called Ring Around the Rosey. Nohemy pronounced No-Em-ee is 34 years-old and the mother of two beautiful children Astrid and Alex and expecting #3 any day now. Nohemy keeps a beautiful home that is always immaculately clean with every dish in place and every bed made when we stop by. She was very desperate that her bathroom and kitchen did not have concrete floors so One Common Thread donated the concrete she needed to put concrete on her floors and that addition is being made.
She is so grateful to have work to supplement the income she was receiving from her common law "husband" who gave her $4 a week for food and household expenses. This woman is delightful and lives a very difficult life but sees the positive in all things.
This Ring Around the Rosey quilt is just beautiful and will make a gorgeous addition to your family memories. It is an heirloom worthy of passing down to posterity.
