Handmade quilt by women in San Pedro Sula, Honduras
Description
This beautiful flower garden quilt was made by our Maker Nohemy. Nohemy is just 27 years old and the mother of three children, Astrid 8, Alejandro 7. and Amy born January 2023. The three of them live in a tiny home with chickens roaming in and out at all hours of the day and night. Her life is very difficult and something we can't share very much of on social media or the internet but she is happy that she has the opportunity to sew with One Common Thread and earn an income to feed her children. Before she started sewing she lived on $4 a week to buy food for she and her children.
