Handmade quilt by women in San Pedro Sula, Honduras
Description
This exquisite quilt, measures 57" x 82" which was made by one of our older Makers, Haydee. Here are some of her sweet words about herself. "I want to share a bit of my story with you. I am a single mother, my husband was killed 15 years ago. Since then, I have worked very hard by washing others clothes by hand to give my children what they need, food, clothes, and studies.
Thank God we have made it this far, with His help. I am a single mother of 7 children. I wanted to fix my home and have this opportunity because I started sewing 5 days a week. Then on Saturday and Sunday I dedicate myself to selling food I make here in the Bordo. I am known for being a very good cook. I look forward to your next visit to Honduras. I know God will bless all who help us here."
Haydee is a very hard worker and enjoys the opportunity to sew. She is grateful she can support her family with your help.
