Description
Skarleth and her mother Juli were the very first Makers for One Common Thread. These two are so talented and have trained so many of our other Makers. This quilt is made in our most popular design called Grandma's Flower Garden in Stars and Honeycombs by Skarleth and Juli.
Juli is an excellent maker and is partly responsible for the start of One Common Thread. She works very hard taking care of her two children. With the pandemic and her recent move to the country keeping her kids in school has been very difficult. With no real devices to use for school it makes it very hard for her children to do school remotely. However, Juli always has a smile on her face and is a great support to her extended family.
Skarleth was 13 when she first helped me make a quilt and she is now almost 18 years-old. She has graduated from high school and is now attending English classes. We are hoping to see her continue onto college or a trade school. We are so proud of Skarleth and the hard work she has put into changing her life.
