Handmade quilt by women in San Pedro Sula, Honduras
high-quality thread, cotton fabrics for quilt top, minky fabric backing.
48" x 61"
Red, White, and Blues; coral minky backing
Beautifully hand-stitched hexagon quilt. Majority of fabric is donated and proceeds employ women living in poverty in the "bordos" of San Pedro Sula, Honduras
This is one of the most difficult patterns for the Makers to sew. The pretzel was made by Wendy and her daughter Madeline. These vintage fabrics come together in almost a beach fade look. The coral backing blends it all together perfectly. Madeline is a 19-year-old single mother who is saving her money to buy a computer so she can continue school.
