Q: Is One Common Thread a 501(c)(3) non profit organization?

A: Yes!! One Common Thread has been determined to be exempt from federal income tax under the Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3).  Donors can deduct contributions they make under the IRC Section 170.  We are also qualified to receive tax deductible bequests, devises, transfers or gifts under Section 2055, 2106 or 2522.  

Organizations exempt under IRC Section 501(c)(3) are further classified as either public charities or private foundations.  We have been determined to be a public charity, and donations may be tax deductible.  Please consult your personal tax professional.

Q:  What is "At Cost" pricing?

A: At cost pricing is the total amount it takes to produce an item.  We charge only "At Cost" pricing because then we only charge tax on the price for the item.  Any donation you make above the cost at checkout is not taxed and can better serve the women of Honduras.  

Q: What is a quilt kit?

A: A quilt kit consists of prebasted hexagons to make a quilt by sewing them together in a pattern to make a quilt top. Quilt kits come in all different sizes of width and length and also hexagon size.

Q: Does the quilt kit come with a quilt back or batting?

A: No, it does not

Q: Can I buy two of the same quilt kits?

A:  Due to the variety of colors in each kit, each quilt kit is one of a kind.

Q: Can I buy a finished quilt?

A: If you email us your desire we can certainly try to accommodate that request, along with an estimate of the cost.  However, we are working on having some finished quilts by December 2019!

Q: Can I special order certain colors for my quilt?

A: Yes you can.  However, specialized orders are started from scratch so it can add on up to three months for delivery.

Q: Do you have any other finished products we can buy?

A: Eventually our store inventory will increase to have more items. Stay tuned!

Q: Am I really making a difference in these womens' lives?

A: Most definitely!  Each woman employed by OneCommonThread.org is receiving payment every week which helps her provide staple items in her family's life.  Each quilt kit you purchase employs one woman for one month. 

Q: Do you accent returns?

A: Yes! If you ever receive an item you are not satisfied with please email us right away so we can rectify the situation  We want all of our customers/donors to be satisfied so we will return or replace any item that does not live up to your expectations. Email me personally at courtneykimball@mac.com
