Meet Yanori. She has a need like many of our Makers for cement floors. Most of our women live on dirt or very damaged cement floors. One of our goals is to get all of our Makers on cement and in a cleaner environment. When the rains come to this tropical region of Honduras it floods their houses and turns the dirt floors into mud. This is a real trial we know we can remedy.
Here is a little bit about Yanori and her life in Honduras.
"When I was one year’s old. My mom left me with my grandparents. I grew up with my grandparents. Then when I was 13 years old my grandmother sent me to my mom to help her take care of all my brothers because my father had been killed. Soon we did not have any food so I was sent to work in a kitchen to be able to buy food for my brothers.
I used to live in Santa Barbara (Honduras0 and then I came here to San Pedro. When I was 17 years old I got married and now I have lived here for about ten years in the bordo. I have been with my partner for 8 years. I have one don named Alex. He is 6 years old."
