Johana is a dedicated Maker whose strength and perseverance inspire everyone at One Common Thread. Despite facing many challenges as a mother and the primary caregiver to her disabled husband, she continues to work hard to create a better life for her family. Recently, Johana opened her heart and home even wider by taking in her 7- and 8-year-old half-siblings, who had been left abandoned by their mother. With limited space and resources, she was overjoyed to receive a bunk bed to help accommodate her growing family, giving the children a safe and comfortable place to sleep.
Johana’s beautiful quilt showcases her incredible skill and attention to detail, featuring a stunning repetitive diamond hexagon design. The thoughtful combination of fabrics and elegant mix of colors creates a sense of harmony and sophistication, resulting in a clean and visually captivating piece.
