Every handmade hexagon quilt at One Common Thread was made by one of our Makers in Honduras. Their patience, precision, and attention to detail are what transform individual hexagons into our beautiful pieces. 

More Than Skilled Quilters

There isn't one "typical" Maker at One Common Thread.

They sew from their homes, often picking up a needle whenever they have a free moment. A few stitches before dinner, another row after the kids are asleep, a handful of hexagons while catching up with neighbors, it all adds up over time.

What matters most is that when you look at one of our handmade quilts, you're looking at thousands of individual stitches completed by women who genuinely care about their craft.

Every Maker Has Her Own Story

Every Maker has a different reason for sewing. For some, it's a way to help support their family using skills they've spent years developing. Others rarely go anywhere without a needle, thread, and a hexagon close by, always finding a few minutes to stitch whenever they can. Some appreciate the flexibility of working from home while raising young children, while others never imagined that learning to sew would one day lead to quilts finding homes around the world.

While their experiences are different, they all contribute to the same mission: creating beautiful handmade quilts with care and precision.
