There's a certain moment in fall when the air shifts.

There's something about cooler temperatures that makes a quilt feel different than it does any other time of year. In summer, a quilt is decorative. It sits folded at the end of the bed or draped over a chair, looking lovely but not exactly necessary.

Every handmade hexagon quilt from One Common Thread was made by one of our Makers in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. These are women who sew from home, stitching hexagons whenever they have a free moment, before the day gets busy, after dinner, in the quiet parts of the afternoon.

They are skilled, patient, and genuinely proud of what they create.
