Instructions: 
Your quilt kit includes 100 pieces, or 14 flowers which are made up of 6 pedals and 1 center hexi. You will only need 11 flowers and a few extra pieces to complete a 21” x 6.5” stocking or a 15"x 14" pillow square. This kit has the ability to make a flower stocking, a mixed stocking, a three pieced triangle stocking design. or a pillow square in all three designs.  Once you have decided what you would like to make then you can proceed with the instructions.

1. Place two hexagons right sides facing
2. Single thread a needle and make a substantial knot at the end
3. Start where two of the corners meet and push the needle through both of the hexagons at the very edge.
4. Use a whipstitch to go from one corner to the other - lots of little tight stitches is best!
5. Knot the thread well at the other corner and cut off the excess. You can continue to add another hexagon but always make sure to knot each corner as you go!
The hexi’s should look nice and tight at the seam with no gaps or visible stitches.

I like to complete each flower, or three piece triangle and then assort them on the ground to decide how I like to place them together in the stocking or pillow square. It is important to look at your design to make sure you only sew the amount of whole flowers or whole triangle pieces that are needed for this project.  Some parts of the stocking or pillow square are just single pieces so it is important not to sew everything into flowers or triangles at the beginning.  

Once the flowers or three piece triangles are complete you can start sewing them together according to the design. 

Once you've got your hexagons sewn together, you can remove the paper inserts. Don't remove the paper if you're intending to sew more hexagons to the piece: sewing floppy hexagons is harder.

First, if you don’t know, a quilt sandwich is nothing more than the pieced stocking or pillow square top, the batting and the backing.  The batting and the backing of your quilt should be 2” wider and longer than your hexagon face all away around.

1.Make sure to iron the fabric top and bottom so it will be ready to quilt.
2. Place the fabric bottom down with the print facing the counter, then add the batting (the meat of the sandwich) and then place your quilt top on top.
3. Connect the front of your stocking or pillow square to the back piece of your project.
4. Then sew them together.  With a stocking you can add a little fabric loop at the top for hanging the stocking and for the pillow square you can add a zipper or just stuff the pillow and sew the top together by hand.  It is up to you!
