Handmade quilt by women in San Pedro Sula, Honduras
Description
This large hexi quilt is a piece of art. This quilt is made by Geidy, pronounced Hay-Dee, and she is 22 years-old and does not have any children. She is married and her husband drives a moto taxi. She says the hardest trial she has ever experienced was losing her child and her father. She says the best thing that has ever happened to her was celebrating her quinceñera when she turned 15!
Geidi is a hard worker and just received materials to improve her home. She likes to try side businesses to make a little extra money. In January she stared a little store in front of her home to sell things for Valentines Day. Other times she has made plates of food to sell to people in the bordo. Geidi is such a wonderful person and we are so proud of the hard work she puts into the pieces of art that she makes.
