Handmade quilt by women in San Pedro Sula, Honduras
Description
The quilt features a vertical design of 1" hexis. The hexi's are arranged in a random pattern, creating a vibrant and playful aesthetic. The colors used include shades of pink, purple, green, blue, orange, and yellow. The quilt top is finished with a backing of solid teal velvet fabric, which is so soft and perfect for your loved one. The quilting stitch used is a simple vertical pattern, creating a cozy and plush texture. Overall, this quilt is a beautiful example of Belkis' skill in sewing and her ability to create a work of art despite limited resources.
Belkis helps support her family and has one daughter and two nieces under her roof. All of the girls are going to school and Belkis has great pride that she is able to help keep them studying.
