Emilia, a resilient mother of three, resides in a humble one-room house with her children. Despite facing numerous challenges, she remains steadfast in her determination to provide a better life for her family. The dilapidated state of her house, particularly the leaky roof, poses a constant struggle during the daily rains that frequent Honduras. However, Emilia's unwavering spirit fuels her dream of saving enough money to replace the roof and ensure a dry and secure home for her children.
To support her family, Emilia works diligently as one of our Makers. Her sewing skills have become her lifeline, allowing her to generate income while caring for her children. In the midst of her daily responsibilities, Emilia managed to create a beautiful vintage hexagon quilt using delicate floral fabrics.
Each hexagon of the quilt is a testament to Emilia's creativity and attention to detail. The vintage-inspired floral patterns exude elegance and charm, showcasing her impeccable taste and skillful craftsmanship.
