Handmade quilt by women in San Pedro Sula, Honduras
Description
Karin made this beautiful quilt that steals its name from the song "Pioneer Children". Karin is the mother of four and is 24 years old. Her circumstances are desperate as she tries to support her four small children while her partner works 6 days a week. When we met Karin her children were severely malnourished and we've been trying to help her feed her children and keep them in school. We've helped her buy materials to finish out her home but the process has been going much slower than expected. We are hoping to help she and her partner get their home finished out soon!
