Handmade quilt by women in San Pedro Sula, Honduras
Johana is one of our newer makers but she is incredible. She sews so nicely while taking care of her 3 year old daughter. Her husband was recently in a accident with a motorcycle while he was walking and has damaged his leg so badly he may never have use of it again. It has been a huge stress on Johanna but she is grateful for the opportunity to work and provide the necessities to get by. This quilt is a mosaic of a rose and reminds me of Marie Osmond's song, Paper Roses.
