Handmade quilt by women in San Pedro Sula, Honduras
Description
This scrappy quilt was made by Kendy. It is a combination of beautiful Liberty of London fabrics in pinks, blues and yellow colors. It is a very cute throw quilt and has a super soft gray minky backing.
Kendy is 24 years old and she has three children who are 4,3, and 1. She and her husband Elmer also take care of 2 of Kendy's sisters and a brother. Her sisters are 12, and 10 and her brother is 8-years-old. Right now Kendy is trying to save enough money to get a new roof on her house. With the tropical weather in San Pedro Sula there is a lot of rain and she would like to get a new roof to stop the leaking. She is so grateful to work for One Common Thread.
