Handmade quilt by women in San Pedro Sula, Honduras
Description
Yesenia, the maker of the quilt named "I Feel Pretty," has displayed her talent and dedication in creating this beautiful piece. As a mother of three, Yesenia ventured into sewing by assisting friends with their projects. Her willingness to help and her passion for sewing led her to become one of the newer makers at One Common Thread.
Completing this quilt marks a significant milestone for Yesenia, as it is one of the first quilts she has finished independently. The meticulous assembly of over 1400 hexagons demonstrates her attention to detail and the care she puts into her craft. The combination of various cotton fabrics contributes to the quilt's festive appearance, while the soft minky backing adds an element of comfort.
