Handmade quilt by women in San Pedro Sula, Honduras
This gorgeous quilt was made by Neidy, pronounced Naa-Dee. As a mother of three, Neidy is grateful to have the opportunity to work. She is 36 years old and has been helping her sister sew, so she is excited to make her own creations. She is grateful for her children because they bring her the greatest happiness.
Recently Neidy's son Tito graduated from high school and is starting classes at the university. He has also been able to get work to help support his mother and little sister Lucia. With recent supplies Neidy and her son were able to build a room onto their house and now Tito no longer has to share a room with his mom and sister. Tito is 21 years old.
