Handmade quilt by women in San Pedro Sula, Honduras
Isabel is a 19-year-old mother of two. She works very hard and helps take care of her handicap father. Isabel made this gorgeous quilt called Gingham Strawberries while taking care of her 3 year old and 2 month old. Life in the slums have been very difficult but she recently received a new bed thanks to donations to One Common Thread. She is so grateful to sew, and have the opportunity to work.
