This is the national flag of the United Kingdom. It is often called the Union Jack, because it combines the crosses of the three countries united under one Sovereign - the kingdoms of England and Wales, of Scotland and of Ireland (Since 1921) This quilt was made by Velkis and and she had to work very hard on it. Originally she had not mixed up the reds so she had to pick stitch them all out and re-sew them. She did a fabulous job and this quilt is a beautiful keepsake.
